How to make Knit 4 below
Drop stitch off needle and unravel 4 rows down, insert needle in stitch in the 5th row down and under the 4 loose strands, and knit, catching the 4 loose strands behind stitch

Pattern
Cast on a multiple of 4 sts, plus 1.
Rows 1-3-5 (WS): Purl.
Rows 2-4 (RS): Knit
Row 6: * Knit 3, Knit 4 below; repeat from * to last st, Knit 1.
Rows 7-9-11: Purl.
Rows 8-10: Knit.
Row 12: Knit 1, *Knit 4 below, Knit 3; repeat from * to end.
Rep Rows 1-12.
